Originally from upstate NY, Chris moved to Los Angeles after attending college in Santa Barbara and began working extensively in the film and television industry. In 2012, he joined the roster of The Masses, a production company started by the late Heath Ledger and director, Matt Amato. With The Masses, Chris directed numerous music videos which were featured on acclaimed music websites such as Pitchfork, The Fader, and Filter. In the branded arena, he's brought his bold, visual style to content for burlesque superstar, Dita Von Teese, online media company, ATTN:, and lifestyle brands such as Nike, Adidas, Elle, and Esquire.
In 2019 his short film, Content, played at numerous festivals and was later acquired by the streaming platform, Revry. His latest short film, Stay Lost, starring Lukas Gage (White Lotus) and Keiynan Lonsdale (Love, Simon) premiered at the 2023 Outfest Film Festival.
His documentary feature debut, Flamingo Camp, had its world premiere at the 2025 Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in Montana and was nominated for Best Feature. It won the Jury Prize for Beat Feature from SF DocFest and screened at other prestigious festivals such as Inside Out in Toronto and Raindance in London. The film participated in the 2023 Film Independent Documentary Lab and received a Picture Shop post-production grant and a Frameline Film Festival completion grant.
